The storm clears; the day's first view, northward from the summit ridge

We had a nice Prez Weekend in the Pear Lake area of Sequoia NP. And with more than our share of weather, especially the blizzard conditions during Monday's trek out. But the weather cooperated especially well on Sunday when, after a foot of fresh snow and whiteout conditions most of the day, clouds cleared precisely as Dan, Roger, Steve, and I topped out on the 11200' summit ridge of Winter Alta, and peeled the skins off our skis.
